My last post was right around 20 weeks, I just didn't have a belly pic up to show ya, so this week you'll see two in a row.
My belly is just a tad bigger, and surprisingly my back is acting as if Ollie has doubled in size in there. Right now he's a little over 11 inches long, head to toe, and about a pound in weight. Doug has been sweet to give me back rubs at night to help with the back pain. Ollie still loves to lay low in my belly and guess what that means for momma . . . I pee A LOT. It's pretty annoying when I'm out and about- making stops just about everywhere I go to the bathroom and tons of comments from friends and family, "AGAIN?!?!" I remember my ultrasound technician laughing at me when I was complaining. She asked, "Well, does it make you feel better that he pees every 20 minutes?" My reply was, "Not at all, because unlike Mr. Oliver, I can't just pee myself, roll over and get comfy again!" Of course, he has to swim in it, so that's pretty gross.
An embarrassing story (because I'm oh so humble and tend to share so I can laugh at myself) . . . I had been told by several moms that there will come a time when I will pee myself. I figured I had quite a bit of time before it happened to me . . . like around 30 weeks maybe? Well surprise, surprise it happened today! I have been watching my dear friends' three year old a few days a week, and today I was sitting on the floor with her playing blocks. I felt a sneeze coming on, sat up a little more to catch myself, and squirt . . . Oh yea. It happened. At this point, it may just be smart to start carrying extra underwear with me :(
Other than back pain and the fear of sneezing again, pregnancy has been great. I'm still loving Oliver's kicks and squirms and tend to have at least one hand on my tummy most of the time just to share a connection with him. It is getting harder to be patient though, now that I've seen his sweet face. I'm trying to focus on the good things that happen between now and March 1st . . . sleep, alone time, and fixing dinner for two.
