Baby Jones is a . . .

BOY!

Monday was such a special and exciting day for Doug and I. We enjoyed Starbucks that morning and headed off to the Woodlands for the ultrasound that would reveal whether we would have a boy or a girl in March. My stomach was in jitters, and Doug was just excited, talking nonstop the entire ride up. What I love about my doctor's office is I've never waited longer than 5 minutes to get called back, so patience wasn't needed long. I was really hoping that the technician would allow us to record the big reveal, and thankfully she didn't mind at all, so it's all captured right here . . .

The video is only two and half minutes long, but we were in there for 30 minutes just staring at our precious boy. It definitely didn't take long to see that we are in fact having a boy, as he was resting frog-legged, allowing his goods to hang right out in the open. There was no denying his gender at all. He already has a piece of mine and Doug's personality at just 20 weeks . . . he spent the first 15 minutes facing my back with his feet tucked, head resting on his arms, thumb in mouth, and refusing to budge no matter how much the technician or I poked him. Stubborness is not something Doug or I lack, so of course our little guy has it in him, too. Each time we poked, he would kick me and stay put, sticking his thumb right back in his mouth. When he finally did roll over and we got to see his perfect face, I was so in love. I could have melted right there and then staring at him. He has the cutest button nose, perfect lips, and the serious eyebrow arches of his dad.  We watched him play with his tongue and swallow. He would hold out his hands, showing us all ten fingers, making fists, and stretching his fingers back out.

Of course we have some amazing pictures from the ultrasound to share with you . . .

It's definitely a boy!

His little feet

His arm- you can see him sticking his finger in his mouth

See him shoving his hand out to ask us to stop poking him?

Those 3d images are just incredible! He looks absolutely beautiful, and we are beyond excited to meet him. Yes, he has a name, a name Doug picked out before even meeting me:

Oliver Michael Jones

We call him Ollie :)

***I have to give credit to my dear friend, Mesha, who assisted us on our little photo shoot the day we found out we were having a boy!
